Should school district limit campaign contributions to clean up image?

School Board trustee Valerie Cuevas has written a proposal that seeks to put a $1,000 limit on direct campaign contributions from individuals, companies and groups to school boards candidates. The proposal would prevent any vendor that provides district services, or is in negotiations with the district or is bidding on a district contract, from making a campaign contribution within a year of those actions.
